Safeguarding Disabled Children

Course Description:
This course is an essential topic for all staff working with vulnerable children and young people with either special needs or a range of disabilities. The course provides key information around different types of abuse, but also the need for appropriate information sharing and staff roles in safeguarding children and young people from harm.

Course Outline:  

  • Identify what we mean by safeguarding children and what it includes
  • Identify what may put disabled children and young people at greater risk
  • Identify the different types of abuse
  • Role of staff in safeguarding
  • Information sharing and working together as a team to safeguard

Course Duration:

The trainer will carry out an on-going assessment during the course

All delegates will receive a certificate of attendance

The course can be delivered at locations to suit the client or at one of our training venues
Maximum number of delegates per trainer is 15
