This award is aimed at all staff who need to have a good understanding of not only health and safety legislation but also the practices and procedures to help ensure health and safety within the workplace.
Persons gaining this qualification will know that health and safety is the responsibility of everyone within a business, its contractors, visitors and suppliers. Its subject areas are regarded by the Health and Safety Executive as being important to maintaining safe working procedures in the workplace.

- Understand how risk assessments contribute to health and safety
- Understand how to identify risks from common workplace hazards
- Procedures for responding to accidents and incidents in the workplace

Ongoing assessment of learning is carried out by the trainer, the course is concluded by a multiple choice exam
On successful completion learners will receive the Highfield Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace certificate
The course can be delivered at locations to suit the client or at one of our training venues
