Moving and handling of loads and people is an activity which is undertaken on a daily basis within many settings, with an activity that that is carried out so often it is important to ensure that staff stay up to date with current practice and changes relating to moving and handling.
N.B. Where this training is carried out at the customer venue, participants will be trained on the range of equipment available at the venue, this training is suitable for staff who have previously attended a full moving and handling course.
- Overview and update of any changes to moving and handling legislation and theory.
- This course covers a range of handling techniques for both objects and people handling, staff will receive update training and coaching on the specific equipment available where training takes place at the customer venue.
- Where training takes place at Fairway training rooms, equipment covered during training will include:
- Profiling bed
- Positioning using slide sheets
- Stand and turn
- Electric stand aid
- Mobile patient hoist
- Wheel chair
The trainer will carry out an on-going assessment
All delegates will receive a certificate of attendance
The course can be delivered at locations to suit the client or at one of our training venues
