This course is designed to provide additional knowledge and understanding for individuals who have already completed basic health and safety training. The course focusses on the need for hygiene within a social care context and is suitable not only for direct health or social care staff, but also those in extended roles such as domestic care.
The course is suitable for individuals working in a range of health or social care settings including, nursing, residential or peoples own homes.
- Understand the terminology used in good hygiene practice
- Understand the concepts of hygiene hazards and how the risks can be controlled
- Understand the importance of good personal hygiene
- Recognise the need for high standards of hygiene and the importance of cleaning
3hrs / ½ day
Ongoing assessment of learning is carried out by the trainer, the course is concluded by a multiple choice exam
On successful completion learners will receive a CIEH Level 2 Certificate in Hygiene in Health and Social Care
The course can be delivered at locations to suit the client or at one of our training venues
